Wisconsin DNR wants me to buy a $38 annual pass to enter Bong on August 8th for the launch. That's crazy! (So much for my birthday...) I'm not sure that I'll be able to attend the September launches so I don't want to gamble on spending $38 for a single days entrance to Bong.

Maybe someone with a park pass can meet up with you offsite (ie Mars Cheese Castle) and bring you and your equipment into the park.

Is the self-serve, daily registration box just after the guard shack on the entry road also out of service? I always arrived early and would register there when I didn't have an annual pass.
